What If?

In life there are a lot of "What ifs." Like, What if... I go to this college? or, What if... I start this career? or, What if... I get good grades this semester? These are just a few of the 'what if's' that are probably in your mind right now but, there are a few very important "What ifs" that I'd like you to mull over for the next few minutes.

For starters, What if... I accept Christ as my Lord and Savior? For some of you, this 'what if' has already been thought, and solved, but for others, you could still be asking yourself this very question. So, What if?? If you do accept Christ, or have already accepted Him, your life will/has be/been will change/changed forever.

Now, What if... I become/am 3G? As I've said in the past, it's very important to give God the glory, in everything we do. Christ is our lifeline, our Savior, and without Him, there would be nothing! We are blessed with so much, and to say that we did it all by ourselves is selfish. Yes, God may have used you to do some of his glorious work, but in all, there is nothing that we do that God couldn't do on his own. In a way, when we accept the glory we get in life, and don't give it to God, it's almost like a type of plagiarism. (more to come on that soon!)

What if... I tell my friends about Jesus? I'm not sure about you, but my friends, especially my best friends are more like family than friends to me! They're just as important to me as my family, and I love them like family! So, would you like to think that if your a Christian, and you're friends/family aren't that when you both die, you'll be in heaven while the other's burning in hell? I hate being harsh, but it's the cold, hard, truth! There is NO way on this Earth that ANYONE can go to heaven without accepting Christ as their Lord and Savior. Is that scary or what? It is for me! That's why, whenever I get the opportunity to talk about Christ with my unsaved friends, I take it! Yes, some of them think I'm obsessed, but I DON'T CARE! I AM obsessed with Christ, I'm ADDICTED to Him, and I believe that if they see just how much Christ means to me, then maybe they will too! So set that example, let Christ shine through you, and give Him the glory for all that he's done for you!

One More To Go!!!!!!

I woke up this morning singing Tomorrow from Annie in my head because "It's only a day away!" So it's only 1 more day, and the final thing I'd like to pray about is that we will remember to be 3G throughout the weekend! God brought us together. Not us, our parents, or our relationship with each other, God did, he just used those things as tools to bring us together! So...

Dear God,
Thank you for today, may it fly by quickly! I ask Father, that as we have fun, and fellowship with each other Lord, that we will still remember to give you the glory in everything that we do because, you Lord have made this possible, and only you deserve the glory for it! Thank you again for allowing us to have this amazing time together Father, and may we remember it for years to come. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

3 More Days!!!!!!

As the excitement continues, I'd like to thank God for my Friends!!! They are the main reason this is happening. It's Mary's 16th birthday, and we are all celebrating with her!

Dear Lord, thank you for my friends, my sisters and brothers in Christ! I couldn't ask for better, because you've given me the best! It's so amazing how you brought us together, and made our relationship so strong through you. You've made us close, so that even though we're apart, our love for you, and each other remains, and I can't begin to thank you enough for that. Thank you for bringing us together again, and allowing us to worship you together, because you are worthy of all of our praise. I love you Father, and in Jesus name, Amen.

Priceless

Weaknesses. Everyone has them, whether we like them or not. One of mine is vulnerability. Whenever I'm vulnerable, I feel weak and worthless, when in reality I'm strong and priceless. Now I'm not strong or priceless by myself. I've never been either of those without one very important key: Christ. Christ is my strength, and he proved my worth when he died on the cross for me. Only through him, am I alive and breathing as I type this to you. Only through his love, grace, and power I can have the mindset that I am not weak and worthless.
I am priceless because I have the most valuable gift in the universe. Now I know you might be thinking, ooh! I know what it is! It's the brand new electronic device, or the cure for cancer. (Which are is amazing, considering that one of them doesn't yet exist, and I have neither by the way.) I have something a whole lot better than that. I have the gift of eternal life. Christ gave me this gift, and I accepted it. It was that simple. I accepted his love and grace and allowed him to enter my body, heart, mind, soul.

For those of you who have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, read that ↑ from your point of view instead of mine. You are priceless. You have the most valuable gift in the universe. You have the gift of eternal life. You have the Holy Spirit living in you!

Now here's the amazing part: For those of you who haven't accepted Christ as your Savior, you can have it!  There are no catches, no telephone numbers you have to call, or websites you need to go on to order this gift, and as long as you are alive, it's never too late. All you have to do is 3 things and there easy as ABC. First, Admit that you are a sinner. Romans 3:23 says that we all fall short of God's glorious standard. Next, you have to Believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and died on the cross for your sins. (John 3:16) Finally you have to Confess your sins to Christ and ask for his forgiveness. Romans 10:9 says that if you confess with your mouth and believe that Jesus is Lord, and believe that God raised him from the dead, the you will be saved. If you truly accept him, then CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! =D!!!!!!! I'm absolutely thrilled for you!!!!!!! You have accepted the gift of eternal life and have become priceless! You now have the spirit of God living in you!

Now go tell someone! Shout it from the mountain tops, rooftops, whatever! Show the world your new self! You have the Holy Spirit living inside you!!!!

TV, Video Games, Cashews, Angry Birds, Peanut Butter, and Kittens(Guest Post by Paul)

This is an amazing post written my my Brother In Christ, Paul the author of Christaholic: The God Addiction. Enjoy!

TV, video games, cashews, Angry Birds, peanut butter, and kittens. What do they all have in common? I'll let you ponder that for a minute. For now,I want to tell you about something that will blow your mind. It's not the newest car or the the newest phone or when Justin Beiber woke up this morning; it's a whole lot bigger than that. What is it? Alien invasion? Well... kinda. I'm talking (you guessed it) Christ. I'm talking His life, His death, His burial, and His Resurrection.
My name is Paul. I'm the author of Christaholic: The God Addiction and I'm here to tell you that Christ is alive and He lives in me. I am a Christaholic. A Christaholic is a person who is addicted to Christ. A Christaholic is constantly 3G.
Now, about the random list of items featured on the top of this post... what do they all have in common? If you're not allergic to nuts (or cats), they are all extremely addictive. Give me one of those and I'm gone (give me all of them and you you won't see me for another week). But, nevertheless, you are addicted to at least one of those. But are you addicted to Christ? Why is it that some of us cherish kittens more than we do our own Creator? That doesn't make much sense.
Bad addictions distract us from what is good. In the same way, Good addictions distract us from bad things. God is a very good addiction. TV isn't, Video games aren't either; nor Angry Birds. Kittens... not quite sure. But still, all those things distract us from an epic relationship with Christ. Yes, it'll be hard. But you'll be glad you did it when God tells you, "Well done, good and faithful servant!" (Matthew 25:21) What an awesome experience that will be!
James 1:21 tells us to turn from sin and to humbly receive the Word (Christ, John 1:14) implanted in us. Which means make war against sin and get with Christ, replacing your sin with His love. It's as simple as that. Your mission as a Christian is to be 3G and to be addicted to Him. God loves you enough to give His own Son to take our place on that Cross. Who are we to ignore that? How selfish! It's not about you. Sorry. It isn't all about me either. Why? Because it's all about God. He's the only One worthy for the title of "King". He isn't your co-pilot. He never was and He never will be. It's all about Him. So, keep being a 3G Christaholic, and remember, He's the only one worthy enough to live. Life is a gift from God and we better use it for Him or else we have wasted it and we have lived our life in vain. I want my life to matter and the only way that will happen is if I give it all to Christ. Thanks, Courtney, for inviting me! (2 Corinthians 13:14)
In Christ,
Paul.

Pop Culture 3G

In our world, everything revolves around Pop Culture. Celebrities, Music Stars and such. Someone is always talking about what Justin Beiber's hair looks like, or what Lady Gaga's next hit song features, or how many kids Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have. None of that stuff is of any major importance, so why are we focused on such things? Because Satan wants to lure us away from Christ and being 3G. In fact, one of the most popular songs right now is the exact opposite of what We R 3G is all about. It's Lady Gaga's Edge Of Glory. All she talks about is getting all the glory and publicity she can get. It makes me sick every time it even starts to come on the radio. (I apologize to all of the Lady Gaga fans out there, but her music STINKS!) I cringe as I write about it.
So my question to you is, how can we be 3G through this? Seriously, let's stop and think about what the Bible says about this. In Philippians 4:8 the Bible says, And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. In my opinion, Lady Gaga's music, isn't exactly those things. So we shouldn't be thinking about it, and we have to think about it in order to hear it. Even though, you might just 'listen to it because of the beat,' it doesn't mean that you aren't listening to the lyrics. You have to hear the lyrics in order to listen to the beat.

So, to get our minds off of that awful song, I'd like to announce that after a long time of searching, I've finally found a theme song!!!! It's called To God Be The Glory by B.IC. aka Brothers In Christ and it's awesome!!!! Check out this link to hear it: To God Be The Glory

So, My Siblings in Christ, Love God, and to him be the glory!!!

So, I've discovered some new songs that I thought you might like to hear about. First, is Dear X, You Don't Own Me  by Disciple. It's basicly a song about all of the emotions that over power you before you have Christ, and now that you have Christ, they don't own you any more. It's a really great song.
Second, is Need It Daily by Tedashii featuring Pro. It's a awesome song about how we all need the Gospel daily.
Both of these songs are amazing! Click on the title of the songs to watch the music video of them. Also, please feel free to share some of your favorite songs in comments below! ↓

Siblings In Christ

I've noticed that there are 2 things that are on the top of my "Most Important" list. First of course is Christ and giving the glory to him, and second is my Siblings. Not my blood siblings, but my Siblings in Christ. (Which I guess technically are blood siblings thanks to the blood of Christ.) My relationship with Christ keeps me strong with my Siblings and my Siblings help keep me strong with Christ. Without either of them, my life would be HORRIBLE!
Now, I know that I have thousands of Siblings in Christ that I haven't met yet, but I'd like to mention the few that are the closest to me.
First of all, there's Mary. Mary is my sister, as well as my BEST friend in the whole wide world! She would do anything for me, and is always there to lend a helping hand when I need it. Did I mention that she's the best listener in the world? Anyways, Mary has a very special place in my heart and always will.
Second there's Paul. Paul is a great person to talk to if you need to be cheered up, because he will always find a way to make you smile. Not only is he a great little brother, he's also an AWESOME blogger. His blog, Christaholic The God Addiction is great! Right now, he's currently doing a series on Hebrews 11.
Then, there's Sarah. Sarah is my big sister who's in college and in the process of getting Married to her fiancee Jonathan. She also is known for the best advice! Her blog, My Heart For Missions is like a journal of her mission trips that she's taken. (Both Sarah and Jonathan are missionaries)
Now for Maggie. Maggie is my best friend. Although she lives far away, we still keep in touch through phone calls, facebook, and skype.
Last but not least, Isabelle. Isabelle is just a great person in general. Even though we aren't the closest, we are still great friends.

Aren't they just amazing? I can't say enough about all of them! They are the best friends, and sibling that I could ever ask for, and I thank God for them every day! He's blessed me more ways than I can count with each and everyone of them. I love you guys!

Revelation

At the church that I'm currently going to, every Wednesday night they have a bible study. In my class, we're currently studying the book of Revelation. Personally, I think Revelation is one of the hardest books to understand in the Bible. I find it very confusing, but since we've started this study, it's become clearer.
Some of us Christians may wonder, "Why study Revelation? By the time these things happen we'll be in Heaven!" Although this is true, we will be in Heaven by the time the tribulation comes, but let's take an imaginary trip, shall we?
Say your in your front yard, and you see your best friend driving in their car towards a bridge that happens to be right up the road, and the bridge has been torn down because the city is going to be rebuilding it. Wouldn't you go and tell your friend to stop and turn around? I know I would.
Now let's think about this: Say that road is life, and that at the end of the bridge is hell. Wouldn't you like to stop your friend from going off of that road? That changes things dosen't it? Wouldn't you like to tell your friend about the detour that Christ has to offer? I would.
It turns out, this isn't so imaginary. There are hundreds, thousands, even millions of people who don't know Christ. Most likely, a few of those are people are your friends. Why not tell someone about him? You wouldn't want them going off of that bridge would you?

The Seriousness Of 3G

Do you realize just how important it is to Give the Glory to God? In Acts 12:23 the Bible talks about how King Herod died because he accepted the worship that the people were giving him, instead of giving the glory to God. I don't know about you, but death sounds like a pretty serious punishment to me.
Thankfully, we have a very forgiving God. (Luke 24:47) Just because we have a forgiving God dosen't mean that we should contenue to sin the same sin over and over again. We should repent, or turn away from our sins like Matthew 3:2 states.
So instead of accepting the Glory from the praise that we get, give the Glory to God, because if we accept the glory it's a sin. God deserves the Glory so let's give it to him!
 (Revelation 14:7)

Music - One Of My Favorite Ways To Glorify God

I don't know about you, but music impacts my life in a big way. I like all kinds of music, Country, Rock, Rap, and few others, but my favorites are Rock and Rap. I used to be one of the people who was constantly listening to the secular music, (like the stuff on the pop stations) right up until I accepted Christ. Even after I accepted him, I still found myself listening to the secular music not realizing just how much it affected me. Until, one day I really started to pay attention to the lyrics of the music.
Now I don't cuss, I've been taught that it's bad and not to say those kind of words, but I noticed that in the music I was listening to, the aritsts cussed alot. Not only were they cussing, but they were also talking about very impure things. I started to really dislike the things I was hearing.
My friends Mary and Paul lent me some of their Christian Rock and Rap CD's. If it hadn't been for them, I wouldn't have even know that there was a such thing as Christian Rock and definitly not Christian Rap! I had no clue that they even existed. As far as I knew, the only Christian music out there was the Hymns that I sang in Church.
A couple of my favorite artists are Flame, (Christian Rap) Fireflight, (Christian Rock) and Group 1 Crew. (A Rock/Rap/Funky style) They all have very powerful messages in their music. I'd recommend them to anyone who likes listening to the popular radio stations.

Now how can we take this music and give the Glory to God with it? Well, one of my favorite things to do is sing them. Not just sing the songs just to sing them though. I'd sing them to God. By singing the songs I find it a great way to praise and worship Christ.
What if I don't really like singing? Well, coming from someone who really enjoys singing, I don't know what exactly I'd do, but I think I'd just listen and absorb the lyrics one by one and just soak up the messages that each song portrays.

So as you can see, music is a really great way to Glorify God and to praise his name. Now I encourage you to act on it! Go and search for these Artists, and use their creations to give the Glory to our Amazing God!
(Psalm 149:1)

Becoming 3G

Have you ever actually considered just how much God loves you? I mean seriously sat down and thought about just how much he really, truely loves you? I have, and it was amazing, and convicting as well. God loves us all so much, that he died for us! He died for us. He died because he loves us. (check out John 3:16 and see what I mean.) Jesus Christ loves us SO much that died for us. Not only did he die, but he rose again not 1, not 2, but 3 days later, and he still lives today! I find that quite amazing. I also find it impossible to fathom (fathom means to comprehend or understand just so you know.) just how much God loves us.
Since God loves us that much, don't you think that he deserves the credit for everything that we do or say? Think about it. We owe God for everything that we have. From the air we breathe, to the eternal life in heaven if you've accepted him as your Savior. We don't deserve any of it! Which is why we need to give the Glory to God, the one person who actually deserves it.
Now the question is "How? How am I supposed Give the Glory to God?" Well, there isn't a standard for how to do that, it really depends on the situation. Say your in this situation: You just got done singing really well in a solo in the school choir and everyone praises you for it. Here's how I would give the Glory to God: I'd say something like "Thank You, I couldn't have done it without God," or something of that nature. I know that it's a hard thing to do sometimes, especilly if your doing something that you get alot of praise for.
"What about the small things? How do I give God the Glory like that?" Well, the small things are just as importaint as the little ones, and just as the bigger things, each one can be unique. Say your in this situation: You just got done doing a daily chore, like for instance, cleaning the kitchen. Here's how I would give the Glory to God: For Starters, before I'd start the chore, I'd give myself the mindset that I'm doing it for God, as if he were the one to asked me to do it. Then, I'd do it, giving it everything that I had. Even if I didn't get praise for it, or get any aknowledgement from it, I can still give the Glory to God, which gives me more satisfaction than getting praise or anything else.
So you see, whether it be something big, or small you can give the Glory to God in everything you do. So, get out there, and do it! (1 Corinthians 10:31)

A Refreshing Afternoon

My Mom and I went the hospital today due to the weather. (we're all fine, just taking precautionary measures because of the tornado watches in our area.) Anyways, as we were sitting in the cafeteria eating lunch, we were sitting next to some 20 to 30 something year old guys, and I couldn't help but over hear their conversation. To my surprise, they were talking about the bible! One guy was telling the other about his experiences with his family or something like that, and about how he was reading in Proverbs and how the Lord helped him when he really wanted to say some nasty things to his family members or possibly a ex-wife. (I'm not exactly sure.) The other guy was listening intently, soaking up all of what his friend had to say. I'm not sure what the end result was, (after all, I didn't know them from Adam, so I really didn't know the situation) but I did find that it was very refreshing to hear someone talk about Christ openly and in public like that.
We should all be like those guys. Why should we be ashamed to talk about our Father? We shouldn't be. We should be screaming it loud and clear, like singing in the car with the windows rolled down at a stoplight to a song that noone knows but you and whoever's with you.
So I challenge you today. Make a difference in this sin-filled world and tell someone about Jesus. Who knows? You might just help add someone to the family of Christ!

Easter - The Christian Independence Day

If you're a Christian or have Christian beliefs you've probably heard the message of Easter. Whether you have or not, your Easter most likely revolves around the Easter bunny, candy, and nothing of what Easter really is about.
In reality, Easter is about Jesus dying on the Cross for our sins on Good Friday and rising again on Easter Sunday. (You can read about it in all 4 of the Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) Not only did he rise again, he still lives today in heaven with our Heavenly Father God.
Okay, so you've heard this story but have you ever thought about today being a day of Independence? I didn't till' this morning when I heard a really good message at Rose Hill FWB church. I mean really think about it, today marks the day for Christians that we became free of our sins because Jesus paid the ultimate price for us out of Love - Death. Today should be a day of excitement! We're  FREE!!!!  So lets think of today as our day of Independence, our Independence from sins through Jesus Christ.

Inspiration

Since you now know why I'm blogging, I probably should tell you about how I became inspired to blog. First of all, I was reading the book Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris. Alex and Brett were 16 when they wrote it, and it all started with a blog. (You can check out the website under the link over there ---> click on 'The Rebelution.') They inspired me by being so young and writing a book, or a blog that turned into a book for that matter. After I read the book I declared myself a Rebelutionary, and that I was going to start doing hard things for Christ, I just wasn't sure where to start. That's when I read Start Here Alex and Brett's companion book to Do Hard Things. After I finished it, (which was just a couple of days ago) I found a way to Glorify Christ - By writing this blog.
At first, I wasn't sure if I even wanted to do it, or what the subject would be. Then, it hit me! Giving the Glory to God! That was the answer. Now the question was, what should I name it? I was chatting with my little brother in Christ Paul (You can find his blog over there ----> as well) on Facebook lastnight and we were talking about my idea for the blog and I had origanally come up with "God's Glory Girl" and have the shortcut "GGG" Paul said, "It's 3G technology!" (or something to that extent) I then realized that I wanted to reach out to everyone not just girls, and "God's Glory Girl" didn't sound like the best way to do that, plus it sounded just a bit self-oriented, so that idea was out. So we brainstormed  and came up with the name "We R 3G" which I liked and it just stuck! So, needless to say, Paul is definitly some of my inspiration.
Most importantly, I owe my inspiration to God, who deserves all the Glory for this blog, and what all of this blog is about! He gave me the ideas to create this blog, and gave the people that inspired me their ideas to inspire me with so techinicly God is my main inspiration, he just used humans to help me find my way.

The Intro (Why I'm blogging)

When you first came to this blog you probably wondered what dose We R 3G stand for? Well, the 3G's are Giving Glory and God. What do they have to do with eachother? Everything! We don't deserve any Glory that we get from anything. We're not worthy of it. Why? Because God is perfect, and no one else is. No matter how much or how hard we try, we can't be perfect, it's Impossible! We owe the 'imperfect' status to our Ancestors Adam and Eve. They broke the one rule that they had, (Way to Go!) and because of that, we're all imperfect. (aka sinners.)
So, since we're all sinners God sent his only Son Jesus Christ to die for you and me. (That's right, I said YOU.) Jesus payed the price for OUR sins. All we have to do is accept him as our Lord and Savior, and you'll be saved.
For those of us who are saved, we've been sent on a mission. (Matthew 28:19) I feel called to write this blog so that others can learn about God and how to give glory to him in everything we do. That's why I'm blogging.
